Unusual FFT behavior
I'm using Pete's OpenGL2 GPU for overhauled visuals. All in all everything looks fine, but in FFT I found one unusual glitch I can't seem to rectify. On the overworld map, when menus are open, the map marker sprites and screen size are fine, but when the menu closes it looks like the screen changes a minute bit (had to turn off flicker border to prove this to myself) and the map marker sprites change to look really trashy, guessing cause of the res change. Anyone know what causes this, or if this was normal in the game and I just never noticed on my TV? [edit] To help you get a better idea: http://img256.imageshack.us/i/withmenu.jpg/ -Normal map with a menu up http://img153.imageshack.us/i/chunkyw.jpg/ -Without menu brought up, everything gets chunky and gets a border that can't be prevented with the flicker border setting. Also, on an altogether other note, is there a reason why ePSXe always crashes when I close it down? Last edited by Ogre Samanosuke; April 26th, 2010 at 05:51.. Reason: Images |

I am using it, it came with Pete's OpenGL2. What setting would fix the issue I'm having?

Are you meaning use the soft video plugin instead of OpenGL2? And if it doesn't come with that rar normally, no idea how I ended up with it, but I have gpuPeopsSoft.dll as well. With the second configuration bit for soft video, figured that was for when video was being used how to control settings. If I put it as the main GPU it marginally fixes the problem, but looks like complete ass, which is the whole reason I'm using Pete's OpenGL2 in the first place. |

I was hoping to resolve this one minor issue without having to throw all the gains from OpenGL2 out the window, it's the whole reason I'm using my computer to play it instead of just using my PS2. (Well, that and my PS2 is a finicky bastard when it comes to CDs)

FFT just doesn't work well with the hardware plugins.
