Intel NetBurst - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Pentium D = Netburst.
Netburst = Pentium 4.

Netburst + PCSX2 = No way, Jose.

Can you overclock/have the knowledge/cooling? With a single core version of your CPU (a Cedar Mill Pentium 4 at 4.5GHz), I got that game to run between half and full speed, usually about two-thirds average, or sometimes down to half, in battle with the 1888 revision. I wager a Pentium D may hold up alright in this game if overclocked good enough.

If you can't overclock and/or don't have the cooling/knowledge/patience, just get a Core 2 based CPU. It'll be easier and more rewarding. You won't have to overclock as high and use as much power and produce as much heat to do it.
