Desmume suddenly white screening
For some reason, when I try to load my Pokemon Soulsilver rom on desmume, it stays at the white screen, and the vps goes to 99% (which is bad), but it doesn't load, it just stays at that white screen. It's weird because the game has been working for me on desmume since I started playing it. I closed desmume with the rom saved and everything last night, left my computer on, and I went to play this afternoon and it doesn't load all the sudden, when I haven't done anything. I know it's not the rom because it works on other emulators, and I have tried redownloading desmume, but neither the regular or dev versions seem to work. Any ideas whats up? Recently tried 0.9.4 32 bit, and it would load, but the saves wouldn't work. I normally use 64 bit, but neither 64 or 32 bit 0.9.5 versions will load, they both have the same problem. It will work on No$GBA, but No$GBA sucks, it has little graphic glitches in battle, it can't use the SoftRasterizer for graphics (so the pokeathlon gets like 2 fps), and worst of all, doesn't have save states (that work at least, i get the "rom image has crashed" error whenever i try the save states on No$GBA). What I have tried: Redownloading Desmume 64 bit 0.9.5 Desmume 32 bit 0.9.5 Desmume 32 bit 0.9.4 (There isn't a 64 bit version) No$GBA (Works, but No$GBA is crappy) Desmume Dev for all versions I have tried(I have had this before, and using Desmume Dev worked for me when this happened before, but now it doesn't.) Any other advice? Thanks in advance. Nevermind, it works on the compiled 0.9.6 versions, at least for now. Last edited by darblos; April 11th, 2010 at 18:15.. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |

Wow. Back in the past, No$gba was considered the best DS emulator, but nowadays the others get better and No$gba's dormancy doesn't help... but anyway you shouldn't be that harsh. You sure have no idea about how hard it is to make an emulator. Plus if only you knew No$gba is written fully in x86 ASM...

I had the same problem too but I click disable cheats in the emulation options and it loaded the game. You can re-enable it once the game is loaded and you are playing, no need to delete the cheats in the cheats folder.
