Issue loading a save file in Pokemon Platinum

Hi, I've been trying to load the first save file listed here: Pokemon Platinum Version Save Game Files for DS - GameFAQs

What I normally do is converting the .duc file into a 512kb .sav file and paste it into the Battery folder, but it doesn't work with Pokemon Platinum. Every time I run the game it starts off with the introduction, without being able to load the file.

I've read that Pokemon Platinum uses a 1 Mb format for save files and I used a couple of 512Kb to 1Mb converters but none of them worked. I've also made sure that the back up media for the emulator is set to 512Kb, with no positive results.

Oddly enough, playing through the game normally generates a valid save file and I'm able to continue with it. Can anyone help me? Thanks.
