Marijuana cures a variety of diseases

The article is fairly large, so i'll just link to it.
High Times > Rick Simpson’s Hemp-oil Medicine

Marijuana is bad eh? Damages the body eh? Where's the proof? Oh yeah there is none.

Also i'd like to point out that i've been keeping an eye on the Marijuana boards lately, and coming this november californians will be voting on temporarily legalizing weed there as a test run. It will mirror the American alchohol laws and if the test goes well we should see legalization nation-wide by around 2012.

Side note: Mounties blah, what dick heads. Oh well cops will be cops no matter how gimped.

This is spam how?
This is General Discussion.
How is it ok that nanobots cure diseases but I mention weed doing the same and it's spam?
After a quick check of the rules you should see that discussing Marijuana is not against the rules.

And on that note you can go find another thread to piss on.
Saving lives is retarded?
You better go have them lock the nanobots one too, since saving lives is just spam.

talking about illegal drugs, news from weed worshipers website about another scam to try and make a fail attempt to legalize something which is worse than cancer. You should be ashamed to post something like that. Its just an attempt from addicts to get their fix the easy way.

Go find proof that it causes cancer. As stated before no scientist ever has. You should be wicked ashamed for believing something with no facts behind it. Your mother probably told you that bull****. A scam? Check the users there. You will find some of those people are in charge of those wonderful laws you follow. And they are fighting for legalization. Go ask any Californian following this news, they're excited I guarantee it.

Also noted in that article was a test involving mice that showed Marijuana AT LEAST slowed the cancer on the first test. This is not worse than cancer, it's sort of the opposite, no?

Fail.

I thought it would be nice to let you people know that more cures for life ruining diseases are coming, but never mind. I keep forgetting i'm talking to a group of children/closed minded 'drug haters'. For anyone who actually gives a **** about this go check it out, see if you can find documented proof of marijuana causing cancer. I challenge you.

Forgot how to read or what. You must be high on drugs, when did I say it causes cancer. Drugs is Drugs, it ****s you up and that's all it does.

True you said it's worse than cancer. Which is even more ignorant. It just shuts you up? Then why the **** do some states already prescribe it for a variety of issues, with hundreds of happy patients? I can tell you they are not just smiling because they are high, they are smiling because they ACTUALLY feel better.

You are taking a really conservative take on that redlofredlof. Even though I may be against marijuana use as much as you may be, that does not mean we should not be open to discussion about its possibilities or beneficial uses. There [i]do[/] are medical uses for marijuana, and although I personally loathe any mind altering substance by principle, it is a fact that there are mind altering substances, like sugar, caffeine or chocolate, that are seen as perfectly acceptable. Maybe a revision of our values is in turn.

Indeed, the first ones i'd like revised are the Alchoholics and Meth addicts. Two things that ruin your body, with little personal gain in return. Killing selves and others, why not drop that and calm yourself down with something that isn't going to hurt people instead?

If you already choose not to partake in recreational use of mind altering drugs, but do still understand that it has medicinal uses then you ****ing rock!

Indeed, I was hoping people would be more open minded about this. I'm not telling everyone to find a dealer now and smoke all day. Do as you please, that's what I say. I'm just saying that if you happen to become terminally ill, and no meds or treatments have worked so far, give marijuana at least a shot.

I didn't deny the fact there are medical uses from it. But that doesn't mean it's not harmful to human body.

Proof please.
This fine officer thinks otherwise, and believes it should be legalized.

The fact that there is no conclusive proof that there are no harmful effects for marijuana does not automatically means that all the studies that indicate a decent correlation level between marijuana and certain health problems are automatically false though. Just that further studies are needed. You see, medicine in real life is not implemented for population wide use till it has been through-fully tested and demonstrated that its completely safe for human consumption without any strong secondary effects. Why should marijuana be any different?

Good point indeed. However i'm asking for proof because they have been testing for harmful effects of marijuana since the 70's and so far have found nothing. 40 years of no results leads me to believe that it is in fact not harmful.

Why was marijuana even outlawed anyways? I can understand other drugs such as meth and crack/cocaine which aren't natural and chemical drugs created in labs that are actually harmful, but not marijuana since it is as natural as any other plants we grow and consume.

Well I feel bad for crashing on this thread, but I really hate people who get drunk/high and cause problems. I hate people who like/do/support drugs. By doing so you are provoking addicts to get more inclined towards drugs rather than getting them away from drugs.
