PSX pad on PC problem

I connected my PSX controller to the parallel port and installed the drivers, but none of the buttons work, only the analog led works.

Hmm.... NTPad I think has a settings panel in which it will ask what controller is plugged in the parallel port. Did you try it?

The guide in emulatronia says:
Quote:
If even after feeding the 5 V, does not work anything (except button ANALOG, that now ignites the light), you will have to make a small modification in the connections. Simply it clears the diode that is welded to pin 9 of the DB-25 and directly welds a cable that goes connected to that already it is welded in the other end of the other 4 diodes.
Is it really ok to remove that diode (while using an external 5V)? I'm afraid it would **** up my pc.

Here is the diagram:

Highly unlikely that would happen.

Anyway, it seems you actually (Had mine premade by a friend by about five years ago.) there wiring yourself, I think you might have just made a mistake somewhere else, like wires not making actual contact.
