Not Saving

in Pokemon Diamond when I say save in game it says it saves but it doesn't update the file in battery until I exit the program, however, if the program crashes then all saves are lost! I just lost a ton of progress due to a crash because I do not wish to close the program and restart it after every save

can this be remedied so that when you say save it actually updates right away to the .sav file instead of having to restart the app?

also when I save a snapshot it saves but if I try to load the snap shot it says "rom image crashed" and it closes the emu.

Thanks!

no$gba's snapshot/save state doesn't work for ds games, as explained in the sticky FAQ thread.

If you don't want to close the program, you can reload (not reset) the game. However, you can use NGZoom's (if you are using 2.6a) or No$Zoomer's update battery save function.
