Agreeing with both. And that Graphic Card is terrible for building a "beast PC" It's going to bottleneck your system.

any current AMD cpu will bottleneck a GTX 450.

Agreed, even if your budget forces you to get LGA755 they still pack plenty power. MY Q9550 does not feel like it's aged a bit since I bought it last year in November.

At what FPS? 100? I doubt a 3.4 GHz Phenom II will form any problem in the near future. If his motherboard is AM3 compatible it should allow plenty of options by the time it's needed. Right now it is simply a very good alternative to Intel's CPUs. It doesn't have the performance crown, but in general it's better to shave off €100,- from your CPU so that it may be put into the funds for a GPU. Quote:
A more important question is: What monitor are you hooking this beast up to?

If your not running anything too stressful you should be fine with the gpu for now! I have a 9800GTX right now (With a far more powerful system) and it is fine for the moment! I see no rush to upgrade it and see no reason for Kenshin to upgrade his either!

In that case your GPU will do just fine, that resolution should be a piece of cake, and any game will run maxed out. Anyway, reason I asked is that I often see people bragging about fast hardware, and they're still on a CRT. In your case your GPU will do just fine, as console resolutions should form no problem, and the 512MB isn't anything to worry about either. If you've ever considered getting some more working space, I'd definitely go with the Phenom II so that you'll have some money aside for a 1920*1200 pixels monitor.

Cid I don't know how the situation is overseas but here Phenom2s and i5s as well as their mobos all cost pretty much the same and a 24 inch (for the 1920x1200 you mentioned) costs more than both a CPU and mobo of either choice combined.

Then you're going to want to make sure that you have a good Power Supply though.

Still, that's too little for a multi-card setup with a quad, you want 600W or more (plus it's got to be SLI or X-Fire certified and thus come with the correct connectors) so as usual I recommend the Corsair TX650 or TX750.
