PS2 DualShock controller not working on ePSXe 1.7 (problem solved)
Hello, I have a PS2 Dualshock controller connected via an USB adapter(the USB adapter support PS3/PC), and my Windows XP detects the controller(i test the controller button in control panel/game controllers) ![]() ![]() In ePSXe,i set the controller to either Digital/DualAnalog/Dualshock,load the game iso, in the game i press F5,but the controller's button and analog has no response at all. I have test four game(FF8,FF9,Chocobo's Dungeon 2,Resident Evil 3),keyboard pad works but the PS2 controller get no response. What should i do? Thank you. edit:before,in ePSXe pad config settings,i just think it only need to choose the controller pad type(digital/analog/dualshock),later i find it need to configure every game pad button with my ps2 controller corresponding button touch to set it to work.now i can use my ps2 controller on ePSXe already

1st off, what brand/model adapter are you using? you say you have a ps2 pad, but windows says ps3? ps3=usb, ps2=psx 9-pin plug. if you have a ps3/usb adapter, that means it converts ps3 usb to pc usb? the only point of that would be for hardware driver support, as ps3 can plug directly into pc with software drivers.

ok, then you also need to configure your controls in epsxe>config>gamepad [& press F5 at boot for analogue mode] edit: if problem solved you should edit last post-not 1st. |
