Need Guide on Cut, Copy, Paste, Hightlight Shortcut Trick

When I'm still a student, I saw my Lecturer doing some trick highlighting a text with some combination button. What I'm asking is how do you hightling the end of the text in a row? As example I want to hightlight a red text below:

I seriously need to learn all these tricks and what they all do!

I know and use about 6-7 keyboard shortcuts at most at present

Do you play PC RE5, RE6 or SSF4AE but hate that the button mappings uses XBOX360 buttons?
Try my Resident Evil 5, Resident Evil 6 or Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition Playstation button mods!
As far as handhelds go, well, I get the Nintendo one.
Because I'm not an idiot.

Shift+Home/Shift+End highlights the line you are at, starting from where the cursor is and going left or right, depending on the key combination. Still probably not what you seek, though.

No button, just double click one (select one) and the others will be highlighted.
