DivX Discs

I've been using several methods to install media players (SMS and PS2 REALITY) and I've managed to put both of them onto CDs, though I was unable to put them onto my memory card using the methods I've tried.

Anyway, regardless I decided to try to run DivX encoded AVIs from a DVD using each of the programmes. Neither programme would play them. The DVD I used had only AVIs on it. I've read that I'd need to put dummy DVD video files onto a disc to get it to work. However, I have loads of DVDs with only AVIs on them, and it would be impractical to reburn every one with dummy DVD video files.

So, does anyone know of a programme that will run AVIs from a disc without dummy DVD video files?

If you have a modchip it will work without having to re-burn with dummy files .
If not, you can't . Or you can copy them to an external HDD .
Just use SMS 2.9 rev3 , it's the best .

I've installed SMS. I was wondering if there was a way of playing AVIs from disc without needing dummy DVD files.

You can do that, but only with a modchip .If you have a softmod like FMCB you have to use to dummy files trick .
