Pokemon Soul Silver/Heart Gold Emulation Discussion - Page 5

I get this error in japanese right when start the emulator with the Heart Gold Rom and Soul Silver Roms from anywhere i try to download them.

any help would be most appreciated

Downloading ROMs is illegal, you will not receive any help :\

i have the USA version and i posted an AR code and i don't have a black screen now but... the game freezes sometimes ... what can i do?

Wait for a patch or save often..I'm suggesting that you use No$zoomer 2302 and when you save go to File->Save battery file, that way if your game freeze, your save won't be deleted

i am already using no$zoomer ... i think i will do the 2nd thing, i'll save every 2 minutes :P ...thanks! i don't really understand... what is a patch?? ( you'll call me crazy but i really don't know ...)

Guys. Do you also experienced that recent crash in or anywhere near goldenrod? I've read almost every forum that relates to HG and SS crashes and almost all got the same experience.

This hack seems to be working for me:

OK here is the ultimate fix for all of you non-believers!

Unpack the game with ds buff v1 and go into the Data Folder, then enter the Data folder in that one.
REMOVE the file called guru2.narc and RE-PACK all and voila!

If you want to know how I figured that out... its simple: on the internet, there was a Nintendo Anti-Piracy
topic about Nintendo hiring a anti-piracy GURU to fix their problem, so... the NARC file contains anti-piracy data.
So by removing it, it fixes it! Try it and then ban me for all I care...

I'm running the game on DeSmuME 0.9.5. x64. I tried entering a building around 30 times, nothing, played a while after that, no glitches. I'll have to do a more extensive play test on it without saving, I'll update you on the results.

EDIT: Ok, all the game characters turned into silhouettes and the game crashed when I entered a pókemart. So that's not a working fix either.

So.. the only way to play through the game on an emulator (past goldenrod) is to; not save until you're 2-3 cities past it?
and hope it doesn't freeze?

Not if you restart the emulator every time you save, but if I save now it just crashes and I have to restart at the gym (where I last saved and restarted the emulator)

i have another problem now... i save every 5-10 minutes but after a fight... it said... rom image crashed... or something like that... i restarted and i was 3-4 saves behind!!!!

oh, yes ... that was the problem... i was about to face the 1st gym leader and it said rom image crashed!!! ... now i am training my pokemon again...
