Oddball problem with Castlevania:SotN

Small question.

When I do play Symphony of the Night, everything runs fine... until I get to the old man in the library, and for some odd reason text, such as in the shop, will not display itself. Which strikes me as weird, since no text is displaying in the shop menu. The options are there, it's just I can't see what there is to choose.

Any help? I can get a screenshot if that helps.

Can you explain how did you fix this ? Im french so please, explain like you were talking to a 6 years old.

well, i solved this issue myself too.

i did this :

switched to the pete DX6 D3D driver 1.77

then in the 1st config menu :

off-screen drawing to 2
Adv. blending to 1
Framebuffer textures to 2
framebuffer acces to 3

and activate the "mask bit". whatever this is, it sounded cool so ...

And somehow this config made the text in the shop menu appears.

This wasnt my guess entirely, there was another topic about RE2 and 3 here http://forums.ngemu.com/epsxe-discus...vie-issue.html on this very forum with some clues about my problem, so i figured this out.

I cant say it will work for everyone !
