Personally while i ain't a fan of them choosing onrail shootemup style (but then again i don't mind the genre) i found the Umbrela Chronicles games to be acceptable as well.

Any un-numbered ones are to be avoided like the T-virus.

@maurocds

RE can hardly be compared to those titles. RE has never started "releasing a crap game every year with little changes" and there is absolutely no grounded reasoning to assume they would now.
with the raccoon city success maybe they will release a tittle/year following COD/NFS, they are crap, yet sell millions just changing some maps

I wouldn't call any of the COD games crap as individual games......but sequel wise.....yerp.

I actually prefer Activision's COD games over Infinity Ward.

Shortening development times

- reduce development times from the usual 3-4 years to only 2.5 years
- this will increase the cost of development
- Capcom believes creating quality content quickly is vital to their ability to remain competitive

Consistent sequels while creating brand new games:

- games in popular brands will see more frequent releases
- intend to keep releasing brand new games also
- brand-new games will continue to be supported to build into brand

Increasing development staff

- plans to hire about 1,000 employees
- 100 developers added every year
- advances in technology and platforms will demand increased development staff
- will hire and train their own talent internally

More social/online games for mobile and PC

DLC for traditional games

- expect growth of about 26% in the packaged software category after factoring in DLC sales
- expect to make 3.5 billion yen ($43.8 million) in DLC sales
- hope to reach 105 billion yen ($1.3 billion) in net sales for the first time
That's exactly what they are aiming for.

Can someone explain to me how this works, exactly?

The way I see it, in the 2.5 years they do spend more money per year compared to what they would spend per year in the 3-4 years, but if they spend the same total amount of money in the 2.5 years as they would do in 3-4, how does that increase the cost?
If anything, it would net them more income due to the game being released 1-1.5 years earlier...

Maybe reducing development time means they'll need to get more people to work on the project in order to go faster. Which means more wages to pay.

We can guess theses wages will have more impact on cost than extended development time.

World at War, Black Ops, and the newest one coming out this year. They at least try to mix things up in their releases,(WOW having tanks and Black Ops having interesting kill streaks like a remote control car/bomb/moving death.

The voice acting in that one may have been wonky but the game was 10 times better then RE4, the horror aspect of it was a lot better, puzzles where more interesting, enemies where more diversified and interesting, also despite the VA the atmosphere, plot and story was quite more interesting and i liked the gameplay to (but lets leave that to preferences).

Bleach Soul Resurreccion 7/10

The game looks very nice and the character models are very detailed. The story mode is very short, mission mode isn't very long, and soul attack isn't that great. Its your standard beat 'em up game you have melee, soul pressure attacks, and ignition where you are powered up and can do your bankai final attack.

The load times are very bad getting into a mission takes on average 12-15 seconds and going into a new area can take up to 5-8 seconds. The music is average and the graphics are good, but the environment is very bland and you see a lot of rehashed levels.

I am so glad I didn't buy this game when it came out for full price or its price drop to $40. I got it on the amazon 5/29 videogame gold box for $24.99 and I still think I overpaid.
