Handheld devices blowing right ear phone?

Ok, so I have a zune 32 gig phat. I have 3 pairs of earphones, I used one for about 2 weeks, the right ear phone stops working. I use another one for about 1 week, the right ear phone stops working. I just BORROWED my mothers pink earphones and after 3 days, the right ear phone stops working.

Many people have reported this as an issue with iPods as well.

Maybe a manufacturing phailure?

Maybe the cord just broke... I had that problem with my previous headphones(philips) but it didn't happen in three days, it took like a year or so...

I have this problem with my iphone, my right side doesn't work as well as it use to. cracks a lot and low volume.
