I didn't mind the fact that it looked like a cartoon, I thought it was quite unique. My problem was that it appeared to play like a cartoon.

i didnt mind the fact that he looked cartoonish, the only thing they have to figure out is that a cartoonish character still can look cool and doesnt have to look like a thing drawn by a 5 year old kid...

I hope they do change their mind with the style (why couldn't they have gone with the old demo's graphics? -_-). Otherwise it'll be the first Zelda I won't even think of playing. I can't stand the new look at all.

You think that look is bad? You should see the Philips CD-i games... eeww....

But Link's look is different. I have heard that they made his eyes a lot smaller, and changed some other things to make him look better. The game IS still cel shaded though.

Seriously though, watch the demo reel again. The only thing really wrong with his look is the eyes. If they made them smaller, he would look a whole lot better.

In the end, we just need to have faith in Miyamoto. Has he ever made a game that sucked completely? The closest thing I can think of was Super Mario World 2. And even that wasn't that bad.

Better example: look at Tokimemo 3. Of course, since that isn't going to get out of Japan, that's perhaps not the most obvious comparison. They both use the same cel-shading technique, but TM 3 doesn't look anywhere near as lame.
