Someone Help!!!

Hey Guys,

Im not very computer savvy. I just downloaded the FCEUX Emulator for NES and the SNES9x emulator for super nintendo and some games for both as well. The problem is, I have no idea how to configure a controller for them. I have a gravis eliminator aftershock and I am completely lost for the last 2 hours. Again, I am not too savvy with this stuff at all, but I am very frustrated. If some one can give me a play by play on what EXACTLY to do, it would be greatly appreciated. I'm not sure if I can even do this at this point.

For SNES9X, select input, then input configuration, click on the up controls press up on the controller and press the buttons or directions for each control. Then select ok.
