I find it odd that I can still comfortably walk outside in shorts even though it's nearing December.

Did I warm to a warmer climate without realizing it?

It was the same here, it was around 70 F/21 C today. I was wearing my jacket and I started sweating. Then again, I'm assuming that weather's even more out-of-line for Ohio than over here .

Here in LA (Lower Alabama ) it's down into the 30's. Technically, these temps are normal, but recent prior years were much warmer.

65 is about right for me. I'd rather have 5 degrees than 90 though. I can always put more clothes on - I can only take so much off.

I like 65 because it's a temperature where you can wear pretty much anything and feel comfortable.

Yeah, that's the way i see it. I hate unbearably hot temperatures...unless on the beach, not day to day.

I wouldn't mind room temperature if it weren't for mosquitos.

My brother recently informed me, that with a bigger turbo, his Civic will be faster than a Bugatti Veyron and a Dodge Viper, and will hit an 11 in the quarter mile. He says he has already beaten a Mustang Cobra and BMW M3. He is a dyed in the wool ricer and has ricer stickers all over his car. And to top it off, he has a 6" exhaust, and the pièce de résistance, an LED lighted shift knob. He says American cars will never be as cool as a front drive Civic because Civic's have "Street Cred" and "presence" and people who drive them know how to race.

I will send this to him.

Probably something so huge that the engine can't run it, so therefore massive lag, and he will be beaten by a 1992 Toyota Tercel off the line.

You should probably pose the following question to him:

"What if you slap a turbo on a V8?"

Aside from that, it may be worth pointing out that Vipers run 10's in the quarter mile... naturally aspirated. Bugattis... maybe in the nines?

Oh well. He'll learn in due time. Or not.

It's not natural for a black person to like winter.

I so want to take my car on a drag strip, just for the lulz. OMG 18 second quarter mile at 75 MPH!

110 HP and an automatic don't do much, but at least my tires grip well .

Hey, that's racism!

I don't like the snow, I don't like the cold and I especially don't like the winter.
But I can live with it.

I doubt that he will. He already has blown and replaced the engine.

People who modify their cars for "street cred" or for street racing tend to be total douchebags, from what I've seen. Sure, you can spend $10k to make your Civic a sports car... or you could have just taken the extra $10k and bought a real sports car. Hah.

Not that I have anything against modifying your car - but unless you really know what you're doing, it'll turn out really poorly. It may be fast, but that's about it.

See also: http://www.thebestpageintheuniverse.net/c.cgi?u=civic

A friend, or aquatience really of mine bought one of those electric turbochargers (like $50 on eBay) and suddenly he thinks his Sunfire is fast. It can barely hit 100MPH, and because the ECU isn't configured correctly for the "turbo", the check engine light pops on all the time.

He most certainly is. I can't stand people like that.

What is really sick is that if given a free car, he said he would take a 1996 JDM Civic with 700HP OVER an McLaren F1

I stopped listening to him after that.
