I hate to say it, but Windows...
Easier to use I guess.

Moved to software discussion

And Ubuntu is the one that here is found to be most reliable and relatively effortlessly secure by default.

Apart from the thread being off topic (until HCR moved it) it is also against the sub forums rules since the subject is kind of a flamebait. I demand immediate closure!

The general recommendation is just that discussions on such topics exclude bashing other people's choices.

PS: http://forums.ngemu.com/software-dis...vorite-os.html (similar)

Ahh yes, thanks for reminding me that this is also a duplicate thread of the one you posted at.... with most OSes taken out.

This is a bot. Topics were created in the wrong forums, and worded very similarly, both (I only read two of the four posts) asking for favorites. The reason is for advertising the link in the signature.

Edit: Okay, so reading the other posts, maybe it's a human (it's tricky to tell these days), but I still say it's an account used to advertise the link in the signature along the lines of a spam/advertising bot. Profile information also suggests this.

Yeah, at some point. Where are Mac OS (X), Unix, Solaris, BSD, etc. ?

Windows and Linux are not the only ones one can expect people to prefer.

If trends matter, the other poll seems as clear as the current trend among techy audiences (XP still strongest, Linux gaining thanks to cheaper cost of acquiring full rigs, increasing competitivity of hardware pricing+services)

Why are we participating in a thread created by a spammer for the purposes of spamming?

He is either a troll or a spammer... there is no point in this thread.

Most Incorrectly, Trusted OS, is OSX.

Its not safe, there just isn't anyone serious enough using it to make it a valid target.

Locked for obvious reasons. Monalisa has caught attention of staff anyway, a PM in return is all I need to see if it ain't a bot. It's otherwise damn good at hiding it
