Don't worry, the OP in that thread linked is as lame as the rumor. He started asking for e-mails to send the proof, claiming it was very hard to get. Also, the spelling is fuggin' horrible.

That is only an excuse to harvest emails.
Same was claimed back in the days with VirtualPSP (supposedly only 1% of people registering would have access to it. As if resharing doesnt exist).
