I will accept that. I will reattach it in a while (I downloaded it first but my backup system is having problems at the moment so I could not test it).
It would still be nice to get a source though (providing the source is at a location that does not go against Emuforums rules).

Here's the program Schumi-4-Eva wanted to reattach, he said he was having some backup issues though. It fixes the sound problems while your playing the New Super Mario Bros. (US version is only one I tested), havn't really tested it with much else yet.

Unpack to the No$GBA folder.
Run NO$GBA and your game.
Run the "A" program.

I have no idea where this file came from, but it makes NSMB playable with sound, enjoy guys.

Terribly sorry for not reattaching earlier, I never made it back to the PC as I thought I would. Thanks for uploading it again yourself though.

Link? Sorry it's just preferred if there's a source for things. Propper credit needs to be given where credit is due.

http://www.wikihouse.com/ndsemu/inde...refer=NO%24GBA

It's the orginal 7z file when the program is.

There's also a Japan Readme text, would be great if someone translate it, but no source

Yep, I decided it was now important enough to warrant being stickied.

It's not just your program, although it did contribute, there are a lot more factors in my decision none of which I will explain though as then I would have to type like a page of reasoning (I make very detailed decisions).

Wow I just decided to search for a sound fix today all of a sudden after I remembered about the no$gba emu and I found this fix here that appears to have been posted just 5 hours ago which works like a charm in super mario!
Great stuff here!
Make a new topic just for it, sticky it and make sure the whole world gets this asap! It's a life saver!

You found it here so why does it need a new topic?

It's the orginal 7z file when the program is.

There's also a Japan Readme text, would be great if someone translate it, but no source
The text file in the "a" directory says this (the file's name means explanation):

Quote:
This software uses memory.dll made by Sinzan.

When you can't start it
Get the VC++2008 runtime from <some MS URL>

About this software
Some games in no$gba have terrible noise. For some reason, if you turn sound off and on again the noise goes away. It's as simple as that and this tool does that when you hit a certain button combination. By default it's L + select but you can change it in the ini file.

How to use
When there's a lot of noise, hit L + select. Sometimes it will get rid of the noise but sometimes it'll get worse. In that case, try hitting it again.

Warning
I think this is somewhat dangerous software as it messes with no$gba (trans note: actually says "process memory") without a deep understanding of it. Your system might crash so please save anything you need to in advance. Also, because it rewrites data relating to sound, it might be possible that for some reason it will cause loud noise and hurt your ears. Please take warning. Virus checked by avast 4.7.

Disclaimer
I do not take responsibility for any problems that arise from using this software. I offer no warranty.

123
Also, it's incomplete and shouldn't really be used, but there's some processing for automatically determining if there's data that will produce noise and resetting the sound. Hitting R + select will turn this functionality on. Although it doesn't really work (trans note: "although it's not practical"), please test it out.

End
That's the gist of it, at least. The two notes are where I took some liberty in the translation.

This does mean though that if you are planning a long gaming session that this tool may cause no$gba to crash as no$gba does not like it when it's sound is turned on an off repeatedly.
