ALIENS

Aliens: Colonial Marines developed by Gearbox Software, the same crew who created the quality, yet under appreciated Brothers In Arms game series with focus on squad tactics and WWII, have been in development of another squad based shooter set in the Alien universe. Focusing on a small marine squad the game is an FPS dripping in atmosphere with the ominous radar which will no doubt be the source of tension as the dreaded xenomorphs bear down on your position. Sega is on board as publisher.

Reported to have a chapter based story mode with each chapter focusing on the back story on one of the marines in the group and sporting some seriously good looking visuals, this should be the best Alien game to be made yet. It also seems that this will not be a run and gun game, with battles being set in hallways and such (much like Aliens) and with focus of getting set up for a battle as well as punching in quite a few scares. This game should be a ripper.

Rumored to be discontinued thanks to layoffs at Gearbox software, Sega is proud to announce that the game will be released in Q1 of 2009 for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, so there is a possibly that this promising game will be released in the next 5 months or so.

Been amped for this game for a loooooong time. Probably one of the top games i'm waiting for.
