PS2 titles that actually run well on pcsx2

what are the best games on playstation 2 that are not frame rate bogs. i just want to know what games are known to run smoothly i have a amd athlon x2 5000+ and nvidia 8600 graphics card.

any known rpg titles?
im thinking probably the earlier generation ps2 games would run the best and games like ff12 would have the most difficulty.
i installed the latest patches and plugins and tweaked it for performance.. im trying to run suikoden 3 but it's still quite annoying during cut scenes.

so what games run w/ no problems?

list some of your favorites

honestly i haven't played anything from the final fantasy franchise since number 9, and i probably won't until square releases 13.. until then ff is but a memory from long ago that i sometimes revisit for nostalgic purposes.

Disgaea 1 and 2 if you like tactical RPG. Runs incredibly fast on pcsx2.

like Phil said, you should try FFX, at least, It's one of the most perfect playable games on PCSX2 and don't require a very powerful machine to render 3D, with your system you will not be able to achieve full FPS all the time but following the story and playing the game will give you a very nice moments.

If you played FFIX, you'll defenitely should try FFX, It's one of the best RPGs that the PS2 launched.

FFX, Disgaea 1 and 2, odin sphere and Mana Khemia ( for this one you have to use save stats, save as much as possible, and save before going to world map uncheck EERec in cpu option, go to world map, check EErec, save and continue your gaming experience) it sucks to have to do this but it is a nice game, grandia 3 but this will probably get much worse since you don't have SSSE3 its playable to me for most parts except some part don't know what to call i think there aren't movies but are like movies were gets pretty slow almost to the point i want to kill the girl that made alfina voice and one boss fight, finish the game its good but no game can reach the kings of rpg to me Grandia 1 and Crono Cross (psx).
Denis411 is persona 3 playable with 5000+ at stock speed? If it is, then it is good option too.
