Weird problem with Tales of the Abyss
I've been playing Tales of the Abyss. The game's running awesomely well, but I encountered some weird glitch. In the screenshot below, you can see 2 statues. The whole point is to block some annoying ghost from running away. In order to do that, I need to pull the right statue down. Funny thing is, I can't move either of the statues to that spot as if there's some invisible object there. My comp specs, just in case: Windows Vista Ultimate (64 bit) Intel Core2Duo E8400 @3GHz 4 Gig RAM ATI Radeon HD4850 Pcsx2 settings: Using 0.9.4 Tried a variety of GSDX versions ZeroSPU 0.4.6 Linuzappz Iso CDVD 0.7.0 Multiple posts on the forums suggested they got past this point using 0.9.2, but that version doesn't recognize my save for some obscure reason. |

Google "pcsx2 playground 4shared" for the playground version and maybe play around with some of the advanced options. Or wait for someone who got to that section to tell you what to do. |

In particular : just temporarily set EE rounding mode to nearest (the default). if using a build with an R.Mod setting instead, temporarily disable it. I have no idea how you've got this far in 0.9.4 if that's what you're really using. EDIT : whoops, double post. Last edited by grfla2; December 1st, 2008 at 19:35.. |

Thanks a lot, setting EE Rounding Mode to nearest did the trick. And yeah, I've been using Playground versions up 'till now, but those aren't supported here. Since this bug's also present in the 0.9.4 release, it wouldn't necessarily be a breach of the forum rules if I asked for help regarding this particular problem.

My current settings: PCSX 0.9.5 Playground version 306 (Don't ask me where to get this or how to get this to work. As much of a cliche this is, google is your friend) Newest GSDX video plugin ZeroSPU2 0.4.6 sound plugin All options checked for CPU Slow DVD Access checked in the Game Fixes menu The first 5 speedhacks checked EE Recs Roundmode Positive (Has to be either this or Chop/Zero, otherwise the sub-menus won't work) VU Recs Roundmode Chop/Zero And all four options checked below. This gives me 100% dungeon speed. ~99% worldmap speed, and rougly 85-95% battle speed, depending on the number of enemies. |
