always when i buying graphics card i'm wondering,what should i take?....but i take always GIGABYTE.....it's popular here but so expensive

^ When it comes to making Nvidia cards, then yes. But most of the companies koko's listed exclusively make ATI cards I think all of them are pretty good apart from Palit and Powercolor. Also not so sure about Visiontek.

Anyway, there are rumors going around that XFX is planning to partner up with AMD and start to produce ATI cards. But we'll have to wait a while for some official announcements to confirm that

It doesn't matter, except that Visiontek sometimes cuts features, don't know about Palit. Here all the others release standard videocards, but HIS has the ICEQ series of cards which feature better coolers.

You can only compare the brands with individual models, there's no best brand by default. These are the things to keep in mind when comparing similar models from different brands:

1. Missing features (like temperature sensors)
2. Cooler (stock/reference vs custom)
3. Type of RAM (DDR2/3/4/5?)
4. Overclock (Although you can do it yourself)
5. Warranty
6. Bundled games

Every card requires individual research. Google is your friend

I'd say get a card with a pwm fan controller, a 2 pin fan has no speed control and can get on your nerves.

What I just wrote is that you should NOT buy a card because it's of a certain brand, but that you should do research...

I think companies other then Sapphire have started making the HD4870X2. I recently saw adverts on the HIS and ASUS website showing off their latest release.

Palits been swarming the market these days. I don't know whether from good sales or they're just pumping them out to reach every shelf on the planet. A couple of friends of mine have the Palit 8800GT and they're happy with them. Paid quite a bit less then the major brands and have no problems with them.

Different manufacturers make their products differently.
I've dealt with Gigabyte and ASUS before because they are the leaders in chipset manufacturing and also make very reliable GPUs.
Thing is that they have a ton of money and experienced personnel who excel in both AMD/Intel and ATI/Nvidia products.
Other companies like Sapphire and XFX specialize in just one of those fields.
I'd say go for Gigabyte or ASUS, but if money is a problem look for the company with the prettiest colors and the longest warranty...just like I did.

and my friend has one and he saying to me always that Palit is good and Cheap..
i think there's no difference between them,but i think the great brands for example asus their chips can take the high temperature..

I still remember my 6800 with 128-bit memory interface... performed more like a 6600. I didn't know much about video cards back then, and trusted Asus, and that's what I got (it wasn't really cheaper than other real 6800's too...).

My current card is a Gigabyte 9600 GT. Love it .

I worked 3 years in computer retail (I'll never get those years back *sob*). Anywho, from my experience, it rarely ever matters. There are odd cards that are a little more overclocked, or have a neat little feature, but for the most part they're all built on the same reference design. I usually end up just getting whatever is priced the best.

I think they called it 6800 TD or something. I knew XT is 128-bit... but I thought "TD" just means vanilla since I have never heard of it.

The core is actually manufactured by TSMC (ATi and nVidia are fabless semiconductor designers).
