Yea, that's nice, but I'll still be using my new nosound98 account, it's a pain in the ass to upload everything again :/ There's a video I created for this that everyone who was subscribed before should move to my new account :P

How is it running for you nosound? I tried to record Resident Evil Remake at 1280x720 resolution, but the FPS went down really badly. Could you tell me what settings you're using exactly, and what your FPS usually is?

I don't have special settings for it, probably RE4 is very CPU intensive. I've got quad core so it's not a big deal for me to record videos. Usual fps is around the same as without Fraps, sometimes slower.

Well the CPU shouldn't be a problem for me, nor should the other hardware (See Sig), but whenever I run Fraps in Resident Evil(Re1 Remake, not RE4), it completely destroys the FPS.

Maybe I'm just using a wrong version of Dolphin or something, or wrong graphic plugin. Not sure.

Sorry, I didn't read the post properly, it's not RE4 xD

Well, probably there's nothing you can do about it :/

First step is setting the CPU affinity, google is your friend.

Second step is to make sure you don't record on the same HDD you are running the ROM on.

you could always try another video recording software. Fraps always destroyed my fps so I switched to growler guncam and it works really well for me. Maybe a change in software would change things for you.

For comparison purposes, here's House of the Dead 3 on dolphin r1400 (recorded on Dec 2008), and the same game on dolphin r4790 (recorded Jan 2010). System is exactly the same. But the first one was made with fraps, and the second video was made with hypercam2.

If you just comparing how fast dolphin has improved then pretty nice comparison (though it would be good if everything besides revision was exact same aka fraps on both or hypercam 2 on both)

Now if you are trying to compare hypercam 2 and fraps then this is a horrible comparison as those 2 revisions are like comparing apples to oranges.

I was comparing Dolphin
But i guess i should delete that 2nd video and record it again with fraps.

We've seen enough of these GCN/Wii games in HD, now for the next step: ATI Eyefinity!

Brawl @ some crazy widescreen ratio (about 3:1)
