Memory Problem-Vista 64

I've spent a lot of time searching through old threads trying to resolve my problem, but I've had no luck. I have logged in as the Administrator, right click PCSX2, run as administrator, and I still get this error.

My computer specs are:

Intel Core 2 Duo E2160 @ 3.0GHZ
4GB DDR2 @ 5-5-5-15
nVidia GeForce 8800GT

Yes, as you can see from my taskbar I am using Kaspersky. But I'd like to be able to run PCSX2 and an antivirus/firewall at the same time. I've noticed that some people have been able to do this.

Ultimately I'm going to want to be playing Pride FC. That is, after I can get the program to open.

If anyone can help, that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

My pc specs are almost identicle to yours (except the GPU, i'm using an ATI card) and i have the same cpu overclocked to 3.0ghz and 4gb ram (same timings) vista 64 sp1. So far i've had no issues, but hopefully i can help. Does the emulator/game work with kapersky disabled?

Don't run too man applications in the background. As I see you have photoshop and firefox opened in the background. turn them off and see.
Try the TLB version too.
If this does not work then restart your PC and as soon as the computer boots up turn ON pcsx2.

the latest Kaspersky 7 version will have this issue no matter what, though it can be fixed by renaming ahkdial.dll

I don't seem to have an "ahkdial.dll"
I searched my whole computer, but nothing.

The anti-virus is the problem. The only way I know around it is to, in one way or another, stop it from running. Google isn't helping, the only result for 'ahkdial.dll' is this thread :P

Hopefully Squall can clarify, but otherwise you're SOL if you don't want to disable it. You can always unplug the computer's network connection, disable the anti-virus and game away, then re-enable and plug it back it.

Yeah, I was hoping that Squall would follow up on his earlier post. Thanks for the efforts, though.

Excellent! This worked, thanks.

But now for some reason my game (Pride FC) isn't running correctly. The game menu is screwed up, and the gameplay runs at 7 fps.

Get a new antivirus, Kaspersky is known to be a resource hugger (unless their new 2009 version fixed that?).

Also, post your plugin configuration if you want help getting that optimized, though it's probably just a incompatible game.

get a clue please, Kaspersky is lighter on systems then Norton is by about 85%, and the only AV which is better in resource usage is Nod32 prior to 3.0.

Exactly...I run NOD32 myself, and was going to recommend it to him xD

And 3.0+ runs fine so long as you go deactivate some of the more aggressive features in advanced settings. The program runs at 0~1% usage for me usually. Besides that, NOD32 doesn't crash most games, which was what happened all the time when I used to run kaspersky (yes I know antivir should be switched off for gaming, but that kind of kills the purpose when its a gaming PC).

On a side-note, the stripped down corporate clients of Norton security software don't actually run that bad, albeit they couldn't detect a virus if you shoved one into the quarantine folder T.T

Is this what you mean by plugin config?

I've been trying to play Pride FC.

Kapersky is a very poor anti-virus indeed. Avira Antivir or Avast! are far better options.

If you can't or don't know how to configure the setting then go read the FAQs, check the Compatibility list, and if you still don't understand...go play on ps2

Kaspersky used up 90% of my 2GB ram and slow down everything bad kaspersky!

Yes it is ^^.

Try using the latest gsdx plugin rather than zerogs, as it's usually more compatible and better looking. Also, you can try using different sound plugins (peops gives better quality) to see which one you prefer.
