Controlling Wii Games/Homebrew...

I'm hearing it is possible to control Wii games and homebrew now by basic Wiimote support.

I hear you can use the mouse + keyboard for this in addition to hooking up a Wiimote.

However I just tried a homebrew Wii game and I am unable to control anything, also the Wiimote plugin is still unable to be configured.

What do I need to do to get it to work?

I'm using revision 1088 by the way...

They are really talking about r1093.
I think you should use r1090 at least to use keyboard control.

I'm talking about controlling with the mouse, this was able to be done before revision 1090 or 1088.

Yay, you're alive.

But, you need r1090 for getting the ability to control Wiigames with keyboard. The new addition with more Wiimote-buttons supported is avaliable in r1090. Compile the lastest one, and upload it to your site please. Hehe.

I don't know anything else but the Wiimote buttons is preconfigured by John Peterson.

Button "one" = 1
Button "two" = 2
Button "plus" = P
Button "minus" = M
Button "home" = H

And use the arrows to control the dpad.

EDIT: Well, I spoke to soon.

Okay, try this method. Grab a revision before those revisions you came up with, like r1045, and copy the Wii folder from r1045, and replace it in your revision you want to use. Make sure to replace/merge everything. I don't know if this still works due to code changes F|res made before. But it is still worth a try.

And won't be neither in future (I think) when native Wiimote support is already added. If you have a Wiimote, Nunchuck and a Bluetooth stick, you can easily hooking up Wiimote to your computer and run it with Dolphin.

It's needed that your Bluetooth stick (If you has one already) is in the compatibility list.

Check this site for further information: List of Working Bluetooth Devices - WiiBrew

Even if you do not emulate the nunchuck could you tell the wii it is connected anyway? it will not be to much of an issue for me as I am getting one tomorrow I just thought it would be a good feature.

I thought nunchuck emulation was working, or at least it seems to work for the guy who got galaxy to work. Speaking of which will the Classic controller eventually be supported I'd love to get the analog sticks working properly as opposed to using them to emulate keys with the help of glovepie.

Just telling Wii that nunchuck is connected when it isn't? Man, you're missing the point. You're still needing the nunchuck to be able to move the object/charchter. So, you're saying it's not an issue? Why are you bothering?

ChaosCode used a native wiimote and a native nunchuck to make the movements in Super Mario Galaxy.

Forgive me for sounding nubish, but what do you mean by a native nunchuck and wiimote. Is it some sort of 3rd party software that he was useing, or do you mean that he was using an physical wiimote and nunchuck?

Sweet, because that is what I was talking about, so is it in anyway possible to have classic controller emulation? If its not too much trouble of course.

Actually ever since I upgraded to 1093 I've noticed the wiimote lights up the 4th light, that's the wiimote emulation working right?

If you want to use nunchuck emulated then make sure your keyboard have Num Lock on and use the num pad for movement.
