Unhappy bogging down to 35.fps???

hi guys iam new to pcsx2 but ihav recently downloaded the emulator and inital d special stage to play , and iam gotten everything working and all configured but when i start a level to race in or choseing a car option it slows down to 35.fps i dont no why is it because of my hardware, i would be surprised , heres my specs

Amd athlon 64 X2 Dual core processer 4600+ 2.4 ghz , 3.00 gb of ram pc 6400
video card: EVGA 7900 gs GDDR 3 256mb pci-e

are you using GSdx??
if so try enable the native checkbox

yeh iam useing gsdx and the native is checked

yes iam useing Gsdx and native box is checked iam useing pcsx2 v0.9.5

Unhappy still slows down to 35.fps

it still is slow is my cpu just not fast enough ? , i mean the game run fine in the menu select screens but when i actually play yhe game the sounds skip and it goes from 60fps to 35.fps , it says it useing 100% of my cpu how can this be?...is the software require that much power?, i mean its ps2 wtf

Try some other game and tell us. Or try a beta with custom vu-skip option.
