Latest games suggestions to look for?

SO I'm getting the new computer sometime between Wednesday through Friday, depending if they ship it either today(they should since they're done with quality control testings) or tomorrow.

I mainly like RPGs(and MMORPGS), Space type games(like Freelancer), and action/adventure type games. So I was wondering what should I look for. I plan to get Warhammer MMORPG, I'll probably just wait and get it in January though since I'm currently back into Everquest 1 and still enjoying it currently.

I'm thinking about checking out Hellgate London. I'm not sure if there's a demo, gonna look around and download it Wednsday morning between 3am and 6am since I can download what I can between those hours without getting hitting F.A.P. limit.

I'm not sure about Spore. Mom heard about it and she doesn't like it since you pretty much play god-like in the game(I know I'm 28, lol, but I still live with parents so I don't wanna piss them off by getting it). I'm disabled, and blind in one eye so I pretty much have no choice on this currently and to top it off it's darn hard to find a job I'm capable of doing right now, especially the way the economy is right now.

1st person shooters I'm not really into that much, but I got Doom 3 and Quake 4 to try out on the new system for those types of games anyways.

Figured I'd add this, but as for emulation wise I'm definately gonna try PCX2 with the games I have which are Final Fantasy XII, Grandia 3, Dragon Ball Z Budakai 3 and Tenkachi. If they work out good I might go hunt down some of the Tales games and try them out too.

If you like story, you can try Mass Effect, and if you like freedom, you can go for Oblivion. I hear The Witcher is a good buy too. If you want to try a little bit older of games, you can give Neverwinter Nights 2 a shot, and for even older, try Knights of the Old Republic.

As for Hellgate, don't bother getting it right now. It currently seems to be a pre-maturely dead game (devs are dead), but the Koreans have taken over the IP, so there may be some stuff coming out in the future. So, leave it for later unless you can get it for $10.

Cool, thanks. I have KoTR for the PC and liked it. Oblivion I tried it out on the Xbox360 and didn't like it that much, but I might give it another shot on the PC.

I never tried Mass Effect, but heard it plays like KoTR, so will give that shot. I've seen The Witcher in stores, might pick that one up later next year.

Thanks very much for the suggestions so far everyone. ^_^

if you like action rpgs you could try sacred, and sacred 2 recently came out/will come out (depending on where you live)

God no. Don't play Sacred - you're better off playing D2. Why play its clone? I have no opinion about Sacred 2 yet, but I imagine it'll be similar.

Fall Out 3, Crysis, Devil May Cry 4 and Bioshock. Dont get Spore. Game is bad. It might be fun for a couple of days but it gets pretty repetitive and boring REALLY quick. Is a waste of time and money =\

Some people here aren't taking this into consideration:

And yeah man, Spore was a pretty big let down. Although if my parents were pressuring me not to get it I probably would out of spite lol.

Picked up The Witcher Enhanced Editon today. Installed it on current computer to compare it with new one when I get it tomorrow.

It was released about a month ago. The new retail version + the patches (for previous owners).
I should really get around to trying it sometime, since I never actually finished The Witcher (finished 3 chapters I think then got bored)...
