Sound blaster live

Anyone can find a tutorial on setup and functions? Got it in a box of stuff from my dads friend, the original one, but it works, and he hooked up all his guitars and things to record his music, so i was wondering how to with my guitars. Luckily i found the drivers from the website. Its old but it was an expensive unit back in the day, 1999(?)

Hey squall, would there happen to be a virus in that file, or any kind of restrictions? Because after i installed it and it said to reboot, it wont go into windows...I get the loading screen and everything before that, but then my monitor says it lost signal. Thats when the monitor shuts its self off(like power saver if computers just sittin)

Seems right but im not sure how it would affect... Well my windows wont boot after installing squalls driver, and looking on the creative site, someone else had a problem like it and heres the following

Sound Blaster Live! System hangs during start up-

This problem is occasionally caused by a DOS driver conflict. Follow these steps to remove the DOS drivers:

Restart Windows.
When the message 'Starting Windows 9X' appears, press the F8 key.
Select 'Step By Step Confirmation'.
Say Yes to all entries except C:\PROGRA~1\CREATIVE\SBLIVE\DOSDRV\SBEINIT.COM. This prevents the DOS driver from loading.
Restart your system.
If you do not need support for legacy DOS games, and especially if you need to free up some resources, you can disable your DOS drivers as follows:

Click Start and go to Settings. Click Control Panel and go to System. Click Device Manager. Double-click 'Creative Miscellaneous Devices'.
Right-click Creative SB16 Emulation. and then click Properties.
In the General tab, tick the option 'Disable in this hardware profile'.
Restart the system.
But it dosnt really seem right for xp. Also did this on my vista drive now too, i dont know what the issue is.

The driver is clean, MSFT would've deleted it if it was infected.

Boot into safe mode and remove the driver from device manager.

Im using that pack on this computer and my second pc with no such problems.
