No theaters around so I haven't even seen Avengers yet.
Not until I can see it in great quality.

Another +1 to Oldboy.
Was a great movie.

Half Past Dead 5/10

Enjoyment however was 7.5/10. There's just something about Steven Segal that makes his stuff very entertaining for me to watch eventhough if you critically examine it it's little more than B-grade trash.

Men in Black 3, 8.5 out of 10.

The last part had a very obvious "shocker."

Still I loved the movie.

I saw it earlier today with my boyfriend. We absolutely freakin' loved it! Probably even more so because one of my favorite actors played the bad guy. And I loved how they incorporated all the true parts of history there that made it really plausible that he could've been a vampire hunter if vampires did exist. I just loved it. Gonna get it on blu ray whenever it comes out.

Indeed, the movie was nice. But I didn't like the ending. Why ? He's stealing the life of another guy.

Damn good dark sci-fi, it's one of those movies where you will think about it for a day or two to really appreciate all the work that has gone into the story, initially I didn't care about the characters, but after some time the core group are pretty well written given the scenario they are in.

What else makes this movie brilliant is there is no explanation about the course of events that wrap everything up nicely, we watch a series of events and without the movie being pompous, we need to piece together the elements over time to really get the full impact. To me this makes the movie operate on a level that most others fail to accomplish without being overly pompous, at times it can feel somewhat nihilistic, but the overall impact of the movie is quite deep with its meaning.

The feeling I got when I left the movie theater was quite strange, kind of numb in a way, but after some deliberation I loved this movie.

Huh? I would have gave at least 8/10. This is what I call a "generation movie". Like "Grease" was.

I guess the hype killed it for me the most. That and honestly aside from some SF/2D Fighter references and perhaps a few others it was lame as hell and just filled with generic game quips repeated a 1000 times over and other incomplete trails of thought.

When I first heard about it and all the gaming references it was supposed to have and after seeing the trailer I thought every ex fight would be ripping off a different game genre/iconic game...but it was just all generic.

And I can envision a MUCH better ending that would have been more in spirit with the movie.

That's because like oh, so many times before they try to cater for casual audience along with fans, leaving both cold because it's still too weird for main audience but too lame for the fans...
