why am i getting such bad framerates on my pc?
ok i'm trying to play ffx with pcsx2 0.9.4 my specs are: amd 5000+ oc'd @ 2.84 per core geforce 8600gt 512mb 1gb ram vista ultimate x64 ok so when i'm playing in game its usually alright running at about 40-50 fps, but there are a few graphical glitches such as people being one colour and other strange things, also when it plays fmv's the framerate drops horrendously to about 17 fps and it keeps flickering black. any suggestions to what plugins or patches to use? thanks Last edited by daniel298; October 12th, 2008 at 02:05.. |

try GSdx plugin, and are you sure that's ffx and not ffx-2? can you tell us your settings and show a screenshot of these problems?

It means the directx RUNTIMES, which are a different thing to directx10 or dx9. Gsdx is pretty much 100% compatible with FFX, so be sure to use that instead of zerogs. |

No prob. And i thought all those dodgy PC retailers just used the OEM hack to get vista activated nowadays? Hell, I'm surprised even the legit shops don't do it since its so easy and the price of Vista is ridiculous. |

no i didn't buy it i got it off a friend and got the OEM hack because i refuse to give Microsoft any more money. and as you mentioned the price of vista especially the x64 ultimate is incredibly overpriced.
