Voice Changing/Altering Software...

Does anyone know of any freeware/opensource voice altering applications where I can talk into a microphone and alter my voice with different effects?

Thanks...

basically any audio-editing program.

you can just lower/higher the pitch of your voice, and make you sound like a different person

I'm guessing Xtreme wants to be able to do it on the fly

I'm not looking for something just to change the pitch of my voice, I'm looking for an application that will allow me to add effects to my voice.

So if I wanted my voice to sound like a robot, a woman, an alien etc...

This is only for amusement purposes, not to mention it would be quite fun to fool around with.

Try Audacity.

If you happen to have a creative sound card it has on the fly modifications too.
