Probelm with GSDX SSE2 1.8

Hi. I have a dual-core intel processor, and I'm using GSDX SSE2 1.8 in the emu on a 32-bit vista machine. I'm trying to format my memory cards, and when I click "run" it starts, and it goes on, but then after it says "Sony" or whatever after starting, a window pops up saying "Pscx2.exe has stopped working."

You know, the annoying vista thing. Anyway, here are my settings:

Anyone have any idea why it would do this?

By the way, I can only get like a 14-17fps.. is there any way to improve this? :/

you are using old plugins download the latest plugins from pcsx2.net and then try it.
you also might wanna turn on the native check box in GSDX plugin it will give you better speed.
Please mention your complete specs and emu version.

nothing more, just update your plugins and read the guide available on pcsx2.net and you wont have any problems. also check the compatibility list for the game you are trying to run.

I'm actually not trying to run a game. I'm not running anything. I'm trying to get into my memory card so I can format it, as mentioned in the config guide on this site (:

Okay, that works, thanks. But it still goes extremely slow [6fps]. How can I increase the speed?

Update your DirectX as seen here:

I've already done that.
