Keep having crashes with version 1.7.0
I'm not sure if this is a general problem, or just with what I'm playing (FFVIII). The program crashes after a while. It'll freeze up for no reason. Although I have a feeling it's because I keep switching around with the Hardware/Software Render switch (I've gotten an error or two with it). Anyway, I picked this up from our good ol' friend on Windows, Dr. Watson: The application, D:\Games\Consoles\ePSXe 1.70\ePSXe.exe, generated an application error The error occurred on 08/31/2008 @ 00:28:48.375 The exception generated was c0000005 at address 03853BA0 (<nosymbols>) It looks like the other times it crashed were access faults. Now before someone claims bad memory, this is the only program that does this, at least to my knowledge. |

what O/S are you using, vista? try disabling DEP and/or running the program as an administrator.

I'm using XP If it helps, I'm using Pete's OGL2 driver, Eternal's SPU, and Moby's CD plugin. And let's just say my computer's good enough for Crysis. EDIT: I notice the game has a tendency to freeze more often in cutscenes of any sort. Mostly it happens when I'm summoning some GF. I don't think it's the game itself because it doesn't have any loading issues (yet). |

Soft Driver 1.1.18 Author: Pete Bernert and the P.E.Op.S. team Resolution/Color: - 960x720 Window mode Stretch mode: 3 Dither mode: 1 Framerate: - FPS limit: on - Frame skipping: off - FPS limit: Auto Misc: - Scanlines: disabled - Game fixes: off [00000000] I have a feeling it's because I'm running the game in software mode. I've been using it because I can get a 5x speed up in any scene when Frame Limit is off. I can only get 2x speed up in a few scenes using hardware rendering (I find that weird though). EDIT: Nevermind. Experienced this problem even in hardware rendering, but I found out what it was. I just unplug the controller and the game went back to normal. I think it has something to do with the rumble. In case you're wondering: I'm using a PS2 -> USB converter (an Elcom JCPS-101) set to DX1 Joy 1, both motors constant.
