normally no extra plugins are needed, Pete's CDR ASPI/IOCTL Driver 1.7, Pete's OpenGL Driver 1.56, and Iori's DirectSound Driver 1.4 are recommend drivers, what ISO maker are u using, ISOBuster is a good one, what kinda system do u have aswell........

strange, I am not familiar with winXP as I am a winME user, when u say iso u r running a *.ISO file or *.BIN file from the CD, not just an ISO copy I presume, your system appears fine from the specs and I don't see exactly why it would do that, perhaps an winXP prob, have u tried making an *.ISO/BIN file using any other ISO makers??

i converted it to all forms of ISO that the emu reads, with all the converters ive seen listed here nothing seems to work with any ISOs, when I burn them to a CDr they work fine. the games i tried using ISO with are: Thousand Arms Chocobo Dungeon 2

my *.bin is 425MBs but 1MB shouldn't make a !!!! of difference, the only thing I can think of is try tweaking your GFX and CD plugins, this is the first time I have been really stumped, apart from a winXP prob I cannot suggest any more, it seems u know your way around the emu, my only choice is to say try tweaking differnet settings, sorry to say but I don't think I can help much beyond that, unless Ryos BGnome etc know anything.

I could only get ISO's to run on my computer if I ripped them using ISOBuster. When I used other programs (WinISO, EZ CD Creator, CloneCD), I would get a black screen when trying to start a new game. The cd I was using was FF8. I am running Windows 2000, so you may have similar results under Win XP. This is the procedure I follow in ISOBuster: 1. Right click on the CD and select "Extract CD [image]" 2. Select "Raw (*.bin, *.iso) 3. Save it to a file with the .iso extension. |
