unlocking bios options?

hi there i have a acer aspire 5520g does anyone know of any way to unlock/open up new bios options for the use of overclocking etc?

nope u cant unlock them ...

but some software let u play with the values while in windows environment.search for overclocking software at majorgeeks.com

Overclocking laptops is never a good idea...unless of course you like the idea of something which once cost you a fair deal of dough turning into a useless hunk of melted plastic and metal.

I've done some moderate overclocks with my Acer Aspire 5100 using clockgen. It was clocked at 2GHz, and I got it up to 2.4GHz before I had any problems. It didn't even run that hot.

Clockgen *might* work for you laptop, but you'll have to figure out what PLL your laptop uses, which is a pain in the ass!

If you do get it to work, be very careful on how far you go, and watch your temps very closely.

thanx BigIg i have used an nvidia prog that lets me clock from 2Ghz to 2.47Ghz but every time i reset i have to do it again i have tryed clockgen but cant find wot PLL it uses thanx anyway people

nah my cooling isnt all that. But wen i clocked it to 2.47Ghz it didnt overheat too much. which is y i want a program to set the settings in stone
