Question Language selection without bios boot ?

As you know, some multi5 games at boot checking the ps2 language setting to decide automatically which language to show.

I noticed that excepted starting the game with the bios (Run->Execute), all the others mode like Run CD/DVD or launching the emul with argument fail to give the correct language value, which is english by default.

Is there a way to fix it ?

run -> cd/dvd skips some BIOS code and runs the game directly.
run -> execute, runs the BIOS, and thus is able to detect the correct language.

any other way to detect the language would be really-hacky, as parts of the bios would have to be emulated/patched/modified (to tell the game that it wants a certain language).
