Random Question

I have a Pentium D 950 3.4 ghz. I was just wondering about how far would I have to overclock it to get decent in-game speeds. Or am I totally screwed at playing with a decent frame rate?

Really? I'm at 3.82 right now, but I'm still not getting good frames on FFXII. Maybe around... 30fps max without any speed hacks on. With speed hacks I think it's about 36 to 50. Is that normal. I got the latest GSDX, and ghz sound plugin, also the latest svn.

Post your system specs.

Although you may be looking at ocing too 4.4ghz. Pentium 4s need about 5.3 ghz to run side by side with a c2d @ 3.0. 4.4 for pentium d is just an estimate.

damn, that's kinda what I figured. But my specs are.

Pentium D 950 3.4 at 3.82, 3 Gigs of DD2 667 running at 300mhz, Abit AW8D motherboard, Nvidia 8800GS XFX Alpha Dog Edition, and a bunch of usb things lol.

It's not the best but it runs most new games at 1280x1024 with everything on high, and a lil AA thrown in when needed.

Well, thanks for the help.

hi,

lemme ninja this topic from you as this probably will be stupid question and does not deserve its own topic

when i play the game in fullscreen mode and have to exit it because of something i have to do windows, how do i get back to the game?

i remember that in epsxe when i pressed escape the window with emulator stayed and i was able to select continue in menu but its not happening here, i tried searching in plugins and configurations but the only thing i found was in lilypad conf. hide on fullscreen escape ( which only makes the game not disappear on escape when unselected but you cannot actually do anything in that window)

im using gsdx sse3 0.1.8, zerospu 0.4.4, lilypad 0.93, cdvdrom as needed, with e7200(all the dual-core options enabled), im fairly sure that this has to be in settings somewhere, but im out of ideas where to search

thanks in advance for help
