SSBM randomly freezes?

Sorry, this has probably been brought up a million times, but I thought I might as well ask to see if it was just me or if I could do anything to change it. SSBM freezes randomly for me, everything just stops.

What are your specs and what plugins are you using? In the latest compiled revision of Dolphin, SSBM works fine for me with working sound effects and fine FPS.

ok don't use DX9 for one thing, use OpenGL, much better gfx plugin, else your system is fit for this emulator, you should get some ok FPS with a 3Ghz CPU.

It didn't seem to make a difference even with the OGL plugin.

Unhappy Problems with the OGL 2

Why doesn't the OGL plugin work for me?
It crashes when I load the game...
