E7: The New Vision - double rendering?
I recently formatted my computer to XP back from Vista because I had a horrible install and more registry errors than you can imagine, so I thought I'd give another try at playing my favorite PS2 game ever, E7: The New Vision. On Vista, I couldn't even get to the menu. Now, I can do everything, and at a decent framerate of 25-35 FPS. The problem is now that the game seems to be rendering double, which could mean either one of two things - I'm experiencing a near-harmless error/bug, or half of my resources are being sucked away. I haven't been able to try any other games, as the only other game I still own (FFX-2) is missing from it's case. However, it doesn't do this in the loading/boot screen, so I have reason to believe it's a compatability issue. I would like this to not be true, as my computer is currently my only means of playing this game.Anyways, here are some in-game shots, plugins shot, and spec shots: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() (SRL test for Orange Box, failed the recommended FYI )The reason for such a low FPS ingame is, I speculate, because I switched graphics plugins from ZeroGS KOSMOS .95.2 to GSDX9 MSVC SSE2 to see if it would work, but obviously it only made it worse. As you can see, it also screwed up the hud, which was fine before. Also, please no griping about my shoddy specs - I had a respectable FPS ingame before I switched plugins, so I know that there is enough power to play. If anyone has some insight on my problem, please post it - all I want to know is if there is a way or not to fix this. Thanks. |
