Question Is it still easy to use a DexDrive under XP these days?

Was thinking about trying one of these but then recalled that they're pretty old relics nowadays with software programmed for OSes from eight/nine years ago, so I'm not too sure how difficult my quest to make one co-operate with my more recent XP setup will become.

I am led to believe that the DexDrive only supported parallel ports, right? And that there are apparent compatibility problems with the software?

Sorry if this has all been discussed before, but I am new to this DexDrive stuff and just want to know if using one with an XP PC is as easy as a few simple steps. Cheers.

well ive never used one myself but considering the fact that ive never really come across anyone who was not being able to get one to work under xp (or even vista for that matter), its pretty safe to say they are still holding strong nowadays and running fine. you might want to make sure you get all the latest drivers for that thing though. i say buy one, try it out and if it doesnt work for some reason then return it and threaten to gouge out the eyes of the person you bought it from if you dont get a refund.
