Faster?

Hey, this is my stationary now:

E2140@ 2,4GHz
6800GT 256DDR3
512DDR2(667)

I want to change it to a notebook cause I'm gonna be studying and need a portable pc. Was thinking about the MSI Wind but thought that I'd still need the stationary, and I want to get rid of it completely, It's taking too much space.
So my eyes caught a Compal fl90:

T8100 (2x2,1GHz)
8600 256DDR2
2GB DDR2(667)

Will it be slower/faster or about the same with pcsx2? Just wanted to know.

Ummm...it's a laptop, and a Mini-note too. You're going from a less then average to straight out horrible. (In PCSX2 context)

You didn't read it completely, the compal fl90 is not a mini-note.

Whoops, sorry, I woke up like 5min ago from a 13hour shift yesterday .

Well, it's not bad, but it's still a laptop. All the stress it's putting on the system is going to heat it up very quickly. Contrary to popular belief, a laptop is not designed in mind to keep running full load for a long period of time. You WILL experience throttling.

Laptops and PCSX2 generally are not a good mix...a lot of devs even tell you to stay away from them.

you need at least 2.4GHz with 2.6+GHz recommended.

k then, I'm gonna add 70$ to buy a T8300(2x2,4GHz) instead of T8100

One thing you might need to consider is that you might need to plug your lappy into the outlet all the time after upgrading.
