I have some ability of foresight, as well as latent medium abilities, and a more tuned intuition then most.

How ever, the first, only occurs when i sleep, the second i have to be near exhausted to even start noticing "visitors" and the last only helps me avoid bad encounters.

My family has some dormant psychic abilities which usually occurs in sleep/deep sleep.

My younger brother dreamed that his friend died in a house fire the night it happened and woke up at the time it occurred. The house fire did occur, the kid did die and it was his mother who set it to kill her child.

My mother and father have experienced phenomenon and psychic/supernatural experiences.

I have also had only but one experience in my life the night my grandfather passed away I had a dream that someone in my family passed away and that we were gathered at a funeral home.

Turns out the next day we receive a call from the same Aunt in my dream that my grandfather which is my mothers father ended up passing away during the night.

Sometimes just applying occam's razor is the best approach when dealing with this kind of debatable cases

Geomagnetic fields, carbon monoxide poisoning, our pheripherical vision playing tricks on us, failures within the electrical system of the nervous systems (the most common explanation of the so called out of body experiences and medium trances), just plain coincidence, ad nauseum.

I'm sure I can fly when I sleep! It only happens when noone is around! But I'm sure it happens! ....

Even though I don't really believe in these experiences, I can't say that they don't happen... As humans only use fraction of their brains, who knows what the rest could do.

But as for my own experiences(the first one was a joke... Just in case someone thinks otherwise) I have one "may be" ghost sighting. I still remember that when I was a kid I saw some big person standing beside my bed, which obviously scared the crap out of me and I just hid under the blanket and fell asleep after a while. It wasn't my dad or anyone else from my family, I asked about it in the morning, and I still don't know who or what it was... And I know for sure I wasn't sleeping yet.

Yeah, I was about to respond with the same, only less coherent and articulate.

I hate how pervasive this utter misconception has become, everyone quotes it. Each region of the brain specializes in certain functions and can't be used for much anything else, and since your never engaged in actions or thoughts that would utilize all the regions at once you'll never use all the parts at once.

There is a point where a huge percentage of the brain is engaged though.... its called a seizure.

Sometimes when I sleep, I dream of future events directly related to me. It's the reason why I have a feeling of deja vu every other day, which was cool for the first year or so, but now I just kind of wait for the even to happen. It's funny looking at peoples surprised expression when I do something one step ahead of them right on the spot

i didn't read the article, but radix is right in saying we only use "fractions" of our brain (at once that is).

you're not using all 100% of your brain all the time; that would be retarded and it would waste alot of energy.

most-likely the brain only uses the parts it needs for the specific task it is performing.

for example: if doing math, the brain uses the logical & mathematical part of the brain.
and when drawing, the brain uses the creative side of the brain.
it would be retarded if the brain uses 100% of the logical part when drawing, since there's not enough logic for the brain to think about.

therefor, we really only use fractions of our brain at one time.

I was playing an indoor game with my cousins, and one of my cousin was bringing 7 on every throw, minimum 50-60 7s. Weird

Supernatural ? I don't think so.

Nothing supernatural about the "german timing" (perfect coincidences basically) my family and I experiences...it's pretty cool though. Like when I visited my friend this weekend. I had decided my dad should arrive any minute now so I should say goodbye and head up the driveway to wait for him. As I arrived at the top of the driveway my dad stopped in front of it. Also we are pretty close as a family so often we think of the exact same thing at the same time. Like yesterday I was thinking it would be pretty cool if my sister would make scones for lunch...about 2 minutes later she comes down the steps and suggests that I would probably like scones for lunch so she will make some.

Nothing supernatural about it, but still pretty darn cool...and sometimes creepy.

i have supernatural abilities. For one, whenever its night and i wanna watch tv, i fall asleep before i can even turn the tv on. Another case is in which i wanna eat cookies but my mother already ate em all...... And alot of cases consist of magically filling up my HDD space without downloading, installing, not doing ANYTHING... spooky.

Once I needed some therapy done on my ankle because of a football injury and I had to get some electrodes put on my ankle area. The doctor turned on the machine and I felt electric impules. After a while I started hearing people talking to each other.

1. I have a sickness that doctors are unable to diagnose at all. It seems to be a brain related problem, but not even an MRI could detect any problems with me.

After a long while, I figured that I didn't have anything else left to lose. I went to licensed doctor who can diagnose via spiritual methods (he's a religious Catholic), yet prescribes real medicine. Don't ask me how to explain this, I don't really understand it either.

I went there. The moment I stepped in, he immediately described my symptoms even before I had a chance to speak. No, we didn't talk to anyone there about my sickness. The doctor also sees around a hundred patients a day, and it's a walk-in kind of thing. No appointments, so a setup is rather unlikely.

He prescribed some medicine for me. It's worked so far in suppressing the symptoms. Unfortunately, the good doctor has since passed away before the treatment was over so I don't know what to do next to finish the treatment, and no regular doctor has had any luck diagnosing me in the first place still.

2. When I was 2-3 years old, I was told I once saw the ghost of my long since dead grandfather. He called me using a language I couldn't have known then, so my parents were surprised I knew the word he used, and it was a rather deep word not commonly used.

I could also go into my cousin who can feel the presence spirits, but that's something for another day.

Coincidence + a vivid imagination =/= Supernatural

Don't believe in it. I doubt I ever will.
