Megaman X3 epsxe v1.6.0 bug in in new v1.7.0
G'day everyone I've been searching for a month or two now for somebody with information on this game running in epsxe v1.7.0 I've found some very old posts where people were asking through google and they went unanswered. And I tried searching through this sites search system but nothing comes up. One thing I noticed on the net was people were saying this is a very rare Megaman PSX game the many people didn't know existed, how true that is I don't know but I do know that this game was released on the SNES also and is currently emulated with Zsnes. But the PSX version is the best it has animated mpg video clips from the short lived anime Tv show in between the levels and the back grounds in the Psx version are alot better looking which makes the SNES port look like a cheap imatation. So I'd love to get it running past the loading screen where it hangs the same as the old version of epsxe. Or see it up and running in the neer future. all the other megaman games work as I own them and have tested them it's only this special Megaman X3 the won't boot past the screen that says loading it does load though through the Capcom and Virgin Video games logos a the start but freezes when it get's to the screen that says loading please wait. also I just remembered I did get it working in another Playstation emulator called PSX that I found on The Emulator Zone web site awile ago but I love using epsxe more so than that emulator cause epsxe play's the most games and I love it's user interface for changing settings. thanks again hope someone can help me out.

it would be easier to add support to epsxe if the team had the game available to test.

Run it off the disk, and you'll be fine. It runs 100%, but you have to use the original disk. By the way, it's a rare game because Capcom never released it in the US. It came out in Europe, and in Japan, and even Australia, just not in the US for some reason. Same thing with the Saturn version. The anime scenes were made especially for the PSX/Saturn versions, not from that cartoon. It's actually a port of the SNES version, which came out like a year or so earlier. But...anyway, yeah, run the real thing, and you won't have a problem. I can verify with pics of need be. |
