[help] slow play - no gfx card, 19" lcd

I'm having problem with play playstation ISO games on my computer. I have no video card. My monitor is a 19" LCD. It only works on a 320x240 resolution mode. When I increase it to 640x480 the game becomes very slow. I tried it on my 17" CRT monitor with a poorer computer spec and it works. On my CRT, I ALT+ENTER into full screen and it auto adjusts to fill the whole screen. I believe I also use 320x240 on my CRT. However, when I did the same thing on my DuoCore PC, the screen becomes fixated on the upper left-hand corner with an aspect ratio of 320x240 res., and does not readjusts itself to fill the whole screen. I wonder why it doesn't expand like it did on my CRT?

I want to know if there is an issue here or is this normal?

you need a graphics card to run pcsx2 or any game from the past 8 or so years for that matter

epsxe is a ps1 emulator, not a ps2.

I'm trying to play psx games, not ps2's. I recall it working at a decent level and full screen without a graphic card.

It DOES work with skip frame but I don't think I want that. It skips too much. Is there no other way but to purchase a decent gfx card?

// I'll try it on my vista laptop with Radeon video card.

I can only get pete's opengl to work. It works fine at 320x240. Another increase might work, but increasing the size to 500 there will be subtle lags showing.

// !My mistake. I did not check the above FPS setting. Do you see the setting on FPS: F5? I need to toggle that. Now it works... for now at least--I hope. Frame skip? =(

How many PCs you have ?
Post their specs ?
Don't get confused and do not confuse us with you ? use one good PC (there is no way for 320 X 240 with OPGL Plugins ) ?!.

You nOOb, go install some drivers to your PC, then come back again.

Wow. This is the first time I have been labeled a noob, and for such a trivial reason. I am amused by this. You're a simple person. Or maybe this is a foolish joke? Neither way, I find no offence in it.

// jonc2006, I got the Pete's OpenGL Driver 1.1.77 to work with some setting tweaks. The sounds are very smooth, but I do notice subtle lag when text dialogue is being displayed whilst characters are talking. Graphic is as it should be as I have an onboard video chipset. I tested out on my laptop with Radeon video card installed and it works wonders.

You need a graphics card to running any desktop computer in the last 15 years or so. Even onboard counts as a card.

So much for politeness.

Anyhow, yes, you have a GPU of some sort. Why? Because if you don't, your monitor wouldn't be connected to anything and you wouldn't be able to see anything at all. Basicly, you see image on the screen? Then you have a GPU.

Do the following:
Press WIN+R, type dxdiag in it and press enter. Use the [Save All Information...] button and save the file. Then, attach the file here.

Basicly, it's quite probably that you're using the default VGA/SVGA video driver. This is used when no driver is found in the system for your display device. Therefore, hanibal's subtle suggestion is correct in that you need to find and install the proper drivers for your display device. The previously requested information will help in finding it.

I tend to not mind what is said. It's hard to read others by words, be it sarcastic or not. Letters and numbers can be interpreted in many ways. And when on meaning is stated, one has to think about the purpose for why it was expressed before taking action. :)

@KrossX, I got it to work for what I paid for. Let's just see what my computer has to offer. It was built for basic computing and leaning towards a little video editing. Thanks for the mention about posting my log, but I'll keep that to myself for now. Any further help, I'll be sure to post it. Thank you all.

hanibal81: stop with the name calling or I will issue you a warning.

megan16: For integrated cards you can use Pete's D3D DX6 gpu plugin.
It would be great if you could at least post a name of you graphic card because if you want help
from a community you have to cooperate. Keeping stuff to yourself will result in little or no help at all.
