Problem with Monster Rancher 2

I hope this hasnt been overasked, and I apologize if it has (looked through some of the forums, though, and didnt see it), but heres my question.

For those of you who have played the game, you know about the CD "disc stone" generation where you pop in any non-DVD (or later format) CD and get a random monster from it. Well, on the average PSX, its no prob, but on thie epsxe, it goes until it says "reinsert the monster rancher 2 disc", where it just doesnt move afterwards.

By the by, I am using the actual disc as well, so that might have something to do with it; i havent tried ISOs yet, but, will if needed.

Any help would be much appreciated. If MR1/2's disc stone function just doesnt work with epsxe, then alright, just would like to know =D

ive seen this asked before and as far as i know it doesnt seem to work. now i dont have the game myself so im not 100% sure however i have yet to see a thread where a solution was actually posted so i take it that it just doesnt work. sorry.
