weird squares!?

Hey guys
first time using the ePSXe so im not sure if im using everything right!
i did a search and couldnt find what im looking for, but if this has been covered already im sorry!
im playing silent hill and im getting boxes around certain things like characters and objects, anyone got any ideas?
heres my settings:

Plugin: Pete's OpenGL Driver 1.1.77
Author: Pete Bernert
Card vendor: Intel
GFX card: Intel Lakeport
OGL version: 1.4.0 - Build 4.14.10.3971

Resolution/Color:
- 1000x700 Window mode
- Keep psx aspect ratio: off

Textures:
- R8G8A8A8
- Filtering: 5
- Hi-Res textures: 0
- VRam size: 0 MBytes

Framerate:
- FPS limitation: off
- Frame skipping: off
- FPS limit: 200.0

Compatibility:
- Offscreen drawing: 1
- Framebuffer texture: 0
- Framebuffer access: 0
- Alpha multipass: on
- Mask bit: off
- Advanced blending: off

Misc:
- Scanlines: off
- Line mode: off
- Unfiltered FB: off
- 15 bit FB: off
- Dithering: off
- Screen smoothing: off
- Game fixes: off [00000000]

i don't have the game to think of something, but i recommed you download
Pete's OpenGL2Driver 2.9

yeah i got that but it seems to give the error missing render texture extension and no pixel format available? i think its because im using a integrated graphics card!

ok i got rid of the squares and the game looks great now i kept the 1.77 driver and changed my settings to this

more or less the same as before but it seems to work!
