Weird problems with ePSXe...
Hey, I'm having some strange issues with my ePSXe emu. For some reason, after I restart my computer or restart the emulator, it tells me that I need to go configure the bios again. So I was just dealing with this for awhile, but now, when I go to select the location of the bios and go to configure them, it won't let me because it says that I don't have any in the ePSXe folder. It's also not regeristing my video plug in (pete's opengl) anymore... I tried re-downloading the bios and video plug in, but it still won't work. Is there any way to fix this? Preferably without losing my saved data for FFXII if at all possible. Thanks |

i dont know if that is some sort of typo or something regarding the mention of FFXII, but if it is not- epsxe is a ps1 emulator, not a ps2. if you want a ps2 emulator then what you want is pcsx2. and we cannot offer support if you are obtaining BIOS or anything like that illegally. the BIOS must come from your own console, there are plenty of guides that show you how to do this as well.

this is one of the better ones, google "psx BIOS dumping" or something similar to that for more. personally i dont really care how anyone gets theirs but its best not to mention downloading since it subjects you to the wrath of the mods. if you want to make images of any of your games then you might want to read over this thead for some tutorials and programs to use. i recommend using images since the performance is usually better compared to having it running from the disc.

there are things you simply cannot ask for here (see the forum rules). And if you make good use of google, even if you are not an expert, you'll surely find one of the more or less legal ways to solve your problem.
